As co-owner of Kayak the Colorado, he brings passion to every part of the experience. Shaun's deep bond with nature and endless curiosity keep him moving forward. With an outgoing and truly adventurous spirit, Tyler brings energy, humor, and expertise every day. As a seasoned boat captain, he's known for making every trip a fun and unforgettable experience. When he isn't navigating the mighty Colorado, you can find him unwinding at Lake Powell or carving fresh powder during the winter months on his snowboard. Tyler lives life full throttle— and always with a smile.

Born and raised in the southwest, Luke Harris is the perfect addition to the Kayak the Colorado Team. With a deep love for the canyon and a heart rooted in it's red rocks and river bends, Luke brings knowledge and authenticity to every trip. He thrives on connecting with guests, sharing stories, and creating memorable experiences on the water. Whether he padding through calm stretches or navigating gentle rapids, Luke's genuine enthusiasm and canyon-born spirit makes him a guide you won't forget.

A retired school teacher with a gift for storytelling, Tim Barmettler brings knowledge, warmth, and engaging conversation to all his trips upriver. Whether he's sharing river facts or life lessons, he's always ready for a good chat— and guests love him for it. In between stories, he's also a skilled and dependable boat captain, guiding with confidence and genuine love for life on the water.

The newest addition to our captain crew, Logan Wofford brings an easygoing attitude and friendly spirit with him everywhere he goes. Passionate about the river and always ready for his next trip, Logan makes guests feel right at home. When he's not navigating the river, you'll likely find him exploring the cliffs with his pup, Arthur!
