Glen Canyon is famous for its breathtaking views—like the iconic Horseshoe Bend—and its incredible geological features, all while being steeped in fascinating human history. With stunning sights of the Colorado River and plenty of water activities like kayaking and fishing, it's the perfect pit stop on your Arizona road trip. The hiking trails here are truly unique, so you're bound to find your next adventure in Glen Canyon!

When kayaking through the canyon, we highly recommend having lunch at petroglyph beach to see 3000-6000-year-old petroglyphs and hiking through waterhole canyon.

CAM  P ING       I N       THE         CANYON

Camping at Horseshoe Bend is one of our absolute favorite adventures! Imagine kicking back under the incredible northern Arizona night sky by the campfire!

You can find the campsites along the kayaking route with restrooms at each spot. Just a heads-up, since you'll be kayaking to your site, we highly recommend packing light because kayakers are incharge carrying gear back to the Lees Ferry Boat Launch.

Let's all do our part to keep this amazing place beautiful for everyone. Remember those "Leave No Trace" guidelines? They're super important here!

Curious for more details on camping at Horseshoe Bend? We've got you covered! Check out our blog post linked below for all the info you need.

Lees Ferry

LONELY        DELL     RANCH

Nestled near Lees Ferry within the breathtaking Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. This trail, following an improved dirt road, leads you to a glimpse of the past – the ranch house, outbuildings, and the vibrant orchard that stands as a testament to early settlers. As you explore, imagine the lives of those who carved out a home in this remote landscape, utilizing hand-dug irrigation channels – still visible today – to bring life to the land. Feel free to wander among the fruit trees and sample what's in season, a tangible connection to the ranch's agricultural heritage. Uneven dirt paths branch off the main road, guiding you to the ranch buildings and a grassy picnic area perfect for reflection. Be mindful of the elements; extreme temperatures are common here, so plan your visit for the cooler parts of the day and carry ample water. If you venture further up the Paria River Trail, be aware of the potential for flash floods. Leashed pets (6 ft or less) are welcome to explore the history with you.

EXPLORE         MARBLE       CANYON

Marble Canyon is often called "the gateway to the Grand Canyon"—and for good reason. It’s the perfect base for adventure. Start your day with a hike through Cathedral Wash, then catch an epic sunset with the Vermilion Cliffs as your backdrop. Take a drive out to Badger Point to spot the first rapids of the Grand Canyon, and soak in the incredible local wildlife and desert blooms along the way.
